Puerto Rico Diving offers a full range of scuba diving experiences in Gran Canaria. First-timers can try scuba diving with a guided Try Dive from €89 — no experience needed. We run PADI certification courses including Open Water (3 days, from €455), Advanced Open Water (2 days, from €345), Rescue Diver and a range of Speciality courses. Certified divers can join daily guided fun dives to sites including El Cabron Marine Reserve and Tufia reef. We also offer guided snorkelling tours from €55 and scuba experiences for children aged 8 and over. All equipment and DAN insurance is included in every price.
Yes — we provide a free hotel pickup and drop-off service for all divers and snorkellers staying in the south of Gran Canaria. Pickup is available from Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Arguineguín, San Agustín, Meloneras, Puerto Rico, Puerto de Mogán, Taurito, Anfi Del Mar and Playa del Cura. We collect you from your hotel or apartment in the morning and return you after your dive. There is no extra charge for this service and it is included in all our prices.
Children aged 10 and over can join our full Try Dive experience and PADI Open Water Course. For younger children aged 8 to 9 we offer the PADI Bubblemaker programme in shallow, controlled conditions to a maximum depth of 2 metres. There is no upper age limit for scuba diving — we regularly welcome divers in their 60s and 70s. All participants complete a PADI medical self-declaration before diving.
At Puerto Rico Diving a Try Dive starts from €89, a Try Dive with photos from €99 and a double-dive experience from €135. The PADI Open Water Course is €455 for 3 days (€745 for the PLUS package with CRESSI equipment to keep). The PADI Advanced Course is €345 for 2 days. Guided fun dives for certified divers start from €90 and guided snorkelling tours from €55. All prices include full equipment hire, DAN diving insurance and free hotel pickup from across the south of Gran Canaria.
Yes — all diving and snorkelling equipment is included in every price at Puerto Rico Diving. This covers wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask, fins and tanks for scuba divers, and mask, snorkel and fins for snorkellers. DAN diving insurance is also included in every dive and course. There are no hidden extras or equipment hire charges.
Yes — our instructor team teaches and guides in English, Spanish, Italian and French. You will always receive instruction in a language you are comfortable with, which is an important safety consideration as well as a comfort one. Michele (Mike) teaches in English, Italian and Spanish, Holly in English, and Marion in English and French.
