Learning to dive is the start of an adventure in which you will explore the amazing beauty and mystery of another world. SCUBA Diving is one of the most exciting and invigorating activities available and yet one of the easiest and safest to learn. The PADI system of diver education is recognized world wide with more divers learning the PADI way than with any other training agency.

Amadores Beach is located close to the dive centre and is our dive site of choice for beginners and courses. The beach is almost enclosed and therefore perfect for beginners as well as being a nice dive for more advanced divers.

The beach is man-made and is now home to abundant marine life. As it is almost enclosed, the Amadores Beach qualifies as a "confined open water site" in accordance with PADI training regulations and we do use it as much as possible for the confined sections of the PADI courses. However, there are times when this site is not suitable due to bad weather or visibility and at those times we use a private swimming pool which is at our disposal for exclusive use.

We offer the full range of PADI Courses from Discover Scuba Diving to entry level certification courses and onwards to Advanced, Specialty and professional levels.

It is possible to have photos taken during any course or dives with us. We take digital photos and give you a disc to take away for only 20€.

Discover Scuba Diving

Wil je de echte onderwaterwereld ontdekken, dan is Discover Scuba Diving iets voor jou. We laten je kennismaken met de vissen en de prachtige onderwaterfauna. Ook al ben je vertrouwd met ademen onderwater na je vorige Discover Scuba Diving, dan kun je die vaardigheden verder ontwikkelen en met volle teugen genieten van deze prachtige wereld.

Nogmaals, deze cursus telt mee voor het diploma van PADI Scuba Diver of Open Water Diving. Je kunt VANDAAG nog duiken, aan jou de keuze!

Minimum age for Discover Scuba Diving is 10 years. However, there is a similar course available for 8 - 10 year olds called the Bubblemaker Course. It is effectively the same course as Discover Scuba Diving however at a shallower depth.

Scuba Diver Course

Plannen om tijdens je volgende vakantie een duikbrevet te behalen maar te weinig tijd voor een volledige cursus? Dan is het Scuba Diver programma iets voor jou. Snel en eenvoudig kun je je eerste stappen wagen in de boeiende onderwaterwereld. Het PADI Scuba Diver programma is een beginnersbrevet voor mensen die slechts enkele keren per jaar wensen te duiken.

With this certification you can dive under the guidance of a Divemaster, an Assistant Instructor or an Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters. As the course follows the same path as the Open Water Diver course, you can upgrade by completing the remaining two knowledge development sessions, two confined water sessions and the last two open water dives. Minimum Age: 10 years.

Open Water Course

The Junior Open Water Diver course for children from 10-15 years is the same program as for adults. However, the junior diver must dive with a certified adult (10 and 11 year olds with a parent or dive professional) to the age of 15 and are limited to a depth of 12 meters.

eLearning

eLearning is now available for the Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Courses. After enrolling PADI’s eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. This allows you to move through the theory part of these courses at your own pace and then to complete the in water part with us here at prd. Click on the image to the right for more information »

For divers under 15 years a Junior Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water diver certification is available, however the maximum depth for the deep dive is limited to 21 m / 70 ft

Rescue Diver Course

Hoe kun je een dergelijk onderwerp als preventie en begeleiding van ongelukken toch nog aangenaam maken? Slechts 1 antwoord: via het PADI Rescue Diver programma. Dit programma ontwikkelt je kennis en vaardigheden zodat je efficient kunt inspringen bij een redding, duikongelukken begeleiden en eerste hulp verlenen.

Het programma is een belangrijke stap bij de uitbreiding van je duikkennis en -ervaring. Het behalen van dit PADI Rescue Diver programma (of gelijkwaardig) is ook een vereiste voor alle PADI-programma's waar leadership centraal staat.

Om te kunnen deelnemen aan het PADI Rescue Diver programma, moet je het brevet bezitten van PADI Advanced Open Water Diver en tenminste 15 jaar oud zijn. Het PADI Junior Rescue Diver programma kan ook behaald worden als je tussen 12 en 14 bent en het brevet bezit van PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver.

Daarnaast moet je ook geslaagd zijn voor het PADI Medic First Aid programma of een CPR-programma (EHBO) gevolgd hebben binnen de afgelopen 24 maanden.

Emergency First Response

Proof of participation in a First Aid/CPR course within the previous two years is a Rescue Diver certification requirement. Puerto Rico Diving offers the internationally recognized Emergency First Response program conducted in one day. During this special course you'll be taught appropriate and useful First Aid and CPR techniques. You will practice recognizing health problems and dealing with all kinds of emergency situations you may come across in real life. This course is recommended for both divers and non-divers.

Scuba Review

If you are a certified diver, but it’has been a while since you've been diving, PADI's Scuba Review is just perfect for you. This refresher course helps you to tune-up your diving skills without having to repeat an entire scuba course.

PADI Specialities

These programs focus on special diving activities. A wealth of acquired knowledge and skills shared with your Specialty instructor will enhance your enjoyment and confidence in your chosen specialty. Remember that all dives completed during your Advanced Open Water Diver course count towards a Specialty Diver rating. As an Advanced Diver some specialty ratings can be earned with only one dive more. Pre-requisites vary from having completed the PADI Open water course, Adventure Diver Course or Advanced Open Water Course depending on the Speciality. Please ask us for more details.

Master Scuba Diver

This is the highest non-professional rating in recreational scuba diving. It denotes a high level of competence and personal achievement for all divers who earn this rating. For the Master Scuba Diver certification, you must complete the PADI Advanced, Rescue and five Specialty courses. This isn't so much a course, as a recognition of your achievements.

Divemaster

PADI's first professional diver rating. This program develops your diving and leadership abilities, as well as your theoretical knowledge to a professional level.

Supervising dive activities and assisting instructors in their courses are only some of a Divemaster's responsibilities. To enter the Divemaster program the candidate must be over 18 years old, certified as a Rescue Diver and have logged at least twenty dives. A minimum of sixty dives is required for certification.
